Hands Down, These are the Best Small Kitchen Appliances

Let’s be honest, there’s a lot of magic that happens in the kitchen. Whether you’re serving up snacks, a holiday meal, or three meals each day, chances are, you’re spending a good amount of time in yours. Truthfully, it’s the room you will most often find me in here at home.

And that means, I am always on the hunt for new ways to make my job a little easier. It’s all about efficiency with me because chopping and dicing can take up a ton of time when it comes to meal prep. And, there’s nothing worse than opening the fridge and realizing that there are a few items that need to be thrown away. Again.

Regardless you can consider this list a wish list of sorts because between getting rid of a ton of items during our last move, and leveling up my skills, there are a few items on this list I am dying to get my hands on.

MUST HAVE SMALL KITCHEN APPLIANCES

Kitchenaid Stand Mixer | By far the most hardworking  of the small kitchen appliances we have here at home. From baked goods to mashed potatoes, and of course, pancakes, this mixer is an absolute necessity. But, also probably the reason why I have to give extra attention to arm workouts nowadays. Entirely worth the investment, our kitchenaid is just about 10 years old, and looks good as new!

Calphalon Belgian Waffle Maker | Another small kitchen appliance that has standed the test of time in our kitchen. Ten years time to be exact. This waffle maker has absolutely saved me in the morning when I want to sleep in, because it’s literally one of the only breakfast foods that Justin will eat. Oh, and when you pick one up for yourself, make sure to grab some Pillsbury cinnamon rolls. Honestly, a deliciously, life-changing breakfast. Only for special occasions.

Cuisinart Bread Maker | Truth be told, at the time of this post I have yet to make my own loaf of bread. I’m a bit apprehensive about it. But, I know one day soon I will muster up the courage to give it a try. And then, I will be unstoppable. Well, that’s where this little gadget comes into play. I could see myself making 2 or 3 loaves a week. One for everyday, and the leftovers for the freezer. Have you ever made your own bread at home? If yes, tell me it’s not as hard I’m making it out to be in my own head, please.

KitchenAid Food Processor | Yup, I’m on board – and get ready for my infomercial voice – it slices, it dices, is there anything it can-not do?! My chopping skills are subpar so, it always takes me a little bit of extra time during the prep phase of any meal. And, I know I’m not alone. Which is why, I know a food processor would be a fantastic small kitchen appliance in every kitchen. Can’t you imagine the delicious homemade salsa you can make with this little gadget….yum!

NutriChef  Vacuum Sealer | A smart move for any kitchen really. This is one of those small kitchen appliances that will cut down on waste, and give you high marks in the sustainability department. Just think of all the money you will save from not throwing out spoiled food.

Ninja Foodi | I’m not shy about my love for the Ninja Foodi – a pressure cooker (that makes amazing rice), slow cooker, air fryer, etc in one! I mean come on! With this small kitchen appliance on hand, I have cut down my time spent in the kitchen on most nights. For example, my meatballs would usually take 30 minutes to cook in the oven. But, in the Foodi they take 20 minutes. And, I don’t know about you but, on a night that I’m feeling particularly exhausted, it’s good to know I can get a quick, delicious homemade meal on the table without spending forever in the kitchen.

A BIT OF LUXURY

AMZ Chef Juicer | Is it just me or do most green juices you find at the store have a ton of sugar? Well, using the right juicer ensures that you will get the most nutrients, and that there’s no unnecessary ingredients. Be sure to share your favorite juice recipe in the comments.

Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker | Let’s face it, ice cream can be expensive. But not only that, sometimes if you look at the ingredients list…it might not be the cleanest. So, making ice cream at home seems like the best natural alternative, right? What’s your favorite ice cream flavor? For me it’s a toss up between Haagen Daz Chocolate (which I like to mix with peanut butter), or mint chocolate chip.

**SPLURGE ALERT**
Breville Barista Express Espresso Machine
| It’s been 18 months since I had my last cup of coffee but, I could definitely see the benefit to having one on hand for friends and family. When I was drinking coffee this one was an absolute wishlist item.
