Farmhouse Cottage Finds at Anthropologie Home

I needed a break from all of the projects we are doing around the farmhouse. And, one of my favorite things to do is window shop online, and yes, occasionally purchase some special items that catch my eye. Lately, I’ve been longing to welcome friends and family into our home but, you can imagine how that might present some difficulties.

Currently, every wall is open in our house. After ripping down wood paneling most of our electrical is exposed, the floors installed by the previous owners are falling apart, and we have no designated space for our guests to sit and relax. Well, other than our dining table which has become our gathering place for pretty much everything!

So, I decided to start looking ahead, and gather some inspo for when it’s time to decorate this farmhouse cottage of ours. Anrthropologie has always been a favorite store of mine. I love the modern boho (yet, classic) aesthetic of their clothing, accessories, and home goods.

Whatever, I purchase from them is an investment. So, that means it will be around for a long time. Here are some of the new items that I love from Anthropologie Home:

Inspo for Our Farmhouse Cottage

Livia Hutch – How beautiful is this hutch? I love the shade of blue mixed with the brass hardware, and the arch design at the top!

Aperture Floor Mirror | We are in need of a few floor mirrors here at the cottage. Right now, we are all surviving on the mirror from the medicine cabinet in our bathroom, which cuts me off at the waist, and Sadie isn’t even tall enough to see herself in it yet! I love the minimal design of this mirror, it could fit in any room of your house.

Hand-carved Nightstand –   I mean WOW, right? How amazing is this nightstand? The fact that it’ hand-carved makes it an absolute treasure for any home. I am more understated in my design choices so, if I chose a pair of these nightstands, they would be the centerpiece of our bedroom.

Swan Towel Ring | I love this towel ring. It would add a bit of whimsical elegance to bathroom for sure! FYI – it’s a part of a complete hardware set: towel bar, toilet paper holder, and bath hook.

Norse Bath Mat – There’s just something about the pale blue in this bath mat that is so calming. Yes, I may use this shade of blue in our design plans.  Combined with the pattern, it looks vintage.

Olive Oil Cruet | these look like antiques. I would choose the white, and have no problem leaving this out on the counter near the stove as decor too!

Faris Chair – I can see this chair in the corner of our future living room as extra seating. I do love it in black but also have ideas for painting it a more bold color.

Faux Sherling Throw Blanket |I am all about comfy blankets and pillows! The more the better in my opinion. And,  my girls agree. Believe me, it would be a fight around here for this faux sherling throw 🙂
