The Best Essential Oils to Help Kids Sleep

In my home, we use essential oils for just about everything – cleaning, sleep, personal hygiene, emotional + immune support – the list can truly go on and on. The best way to make sure you are receiving the benefits of the essential oils you may have at home is to create rituals throughout your day that remind you to use them.

For instance, essential oils are a big part of our girls’ nightly routine. When Justin and I tuck them in at night, I apply a mixture of oils (depending on what we have on hand), to help promote a restful night’s sleep. My husband and I also reach for their diffuser (which doubles as a nightlight), and we add a blend that will create a calming space for them to fall asleep in. Sadie didn’t like it at first but, she has begun to ask for it more and more. The girls take Copaiba internally – 6 drops for Nora, and 2 drops for Sadie. Me neither but, that’s a definite added bonus! This oil gets applied to the girls pulse points before bed, and if I am running low, then I wil just apply Cedarwood instead.
