How to Make All Natural Goo Gone
Discover how to make all natural goo gone with just 4 simple ingredients.
It’s no secret that this 1940s farmhouse of ours has a long list of projects. And, one of those projects? Replacing the laminate flooring.
While the floors seem relatively new, there is a suspicious slope to them, and parts of the laminate tiles are ripping off. I guess that’s why the previous owners decided to employ electrical tape, and even scotch tape to hold them together? Kind of like a temporary fix, right? (I hope that was the thought).
I know what you’re thinking (YIKES), and you are not alone. The four of us feel the same.
But, it may be a few months before we take on the massive project of replacing the flooring throughout this house. So, in the meantime, the various types of tape decorating our floors have got to go! However, just peeling the tape off is not an option.
Some strips of tape leave behind a splotch of glue, and others just won’t lift up off of the floor at all. That’s where this all natural goo gone comes in!

The Best Essential Oils for Cleaning
Essential oils are natural, safe, potent, and a fantastic alternative to cleaning products with dangerous toxins, and chemicals. A single oil can be used to clean many areas in and around your home. Here are some of the best essential oils for cleaning,
Eucalyptus – collected from the leaf of the Eucalyptus tree, an evergreen tree by steam distillation. Not only can this oil support the respiratory system and clear breathing , it can also work wonders as a surface cleanser.
Lemon – this clean, fresh citrus is collected from lemon rinds, and is widely known for its cleansing properties. There are several ways to incorporate this essential oil into your daily routine simply because it is one of the most versatile. Whether you are looking to purify the air by adding a few drops to your diffuser, enhancing the taste of your water or tea with one or two drops, or cleaning the surfaces of your home, lemon is for you.
Lemongrass – this essential oil provides a smoky, citrus scent and is one of my absolute favorite oils to clean with. I will usually make this soft scrub for the bathroom with lemongrass. Aromatically, this oil can eliminate mental fatigue (making you feel more alert), and promote positivity. Topically, it can pack the punch of a citrus oil in your surface cleaners. As always, be sure to test a small area of the surface you are treating before using this oil in your diy cleaners.
Lime – this essential oil is often used to help remove grease spots and sticker residue. Offering powerful cleansing properties, as well as internal cleansing benefits, this is an oil you will want to have on hand all year round. I love to use this oil to clean the kitchen sink, and stovetop. I think it will be the perfect addition to this all natural goo gone recipe.
Tea Tree – best known for its purifying properties, this essential oil is great for cleansing home surfaces, and purifying the air. doTERRAs Tea Tree is sourced from both Kenya and Australia. Did you know it takes approximately 3 lbs of tea tree leaves to make one 15 oz bottle of Tea Tree essential oil? Not only is this oil great for your household diys, it’s also renowned for its cleansing and rejuvenating effect on the skin.
