DIYs to Restore Your Body
In this post we are going to review 3 simple ways to restore your body this winter. The best part? They are all diys!!
Now, these three diys can be done separately or all together, it’s really up to you. But, if you choose to indulge in a little self-care and carry out the 3 diys at once, I suggest completing them in the order you see right here in this post!
Dry Brushing
You may have already heard that dry brushing helps the body get rid of toxins, increases circulation and energy but, I am going to share five more reasons why you should start DRY BRUSHING:
- Improves lymphatic drainage and detoxing
- Decreases the appearance of cellulite
- Decreases Stress
- Improves Skin Health
- Improves Energy Levels
This is a healthy habit that you can incorporate into your daily routine. As an added bonus you can add a drop or two of Grapefruit essential oil or Slim + Sassy Metabolic Blend.
Relaxing Aromatherapy Bath
A relaxing aromatherapy bath is something that you should absolutely schedule into your weekly self care routine. Admittedly, I only do this once or twice a month but, I am working on adding it into my schedule even more.
Okay, so here’s the recipe:
1 cup Epsom salts
½ cup aluminum free baking soda
3-6 drops of your favorite essential oil – I love to use Serenity, Vetiver, Copaiba…
Honestly, I use my empty bottles in my Epsom salts because the salts pick up the smell of the essential oil. I just remove the cap, and orifice reducer and let the empty bottles sit in the salts (upside down) for a few days. It’s a perfect way to use every last drop and get more out of your oils.
Using this diy can help flush out the toxins within your body as well as, reduce tension in your muscles and promote better sleep.
Restore Roller Blend
Finally, let’s chat about a diy roller blend that you can use after you’ve applied your body lotion + hopefully after your relaxing aromatherapy bath, mentioned above.
In a 10 ml roller bottle add –
6 drops Arborvitae
8 drops Frankincense
8 drops Wild Orange
Top with FCO
Apply this blend to the spine, chest or bottoms of the feet. Here’s the breakdown:
ARBORVITAE – protects against environmental and seasonal threats, and invites us to relax and trust in the flow of life.
FRANKINCENSE – promotes feelings of relaxation and balances mood, as well as supports a healthy cellular function.
WILD ORANGE – is a powerful cleanser and purifying agent that supports a positive mood.
If you don’t have a roller bottle on hand, you can easily add these oils to your diffuser. 3 drops Frankincense, 2 drops Wild Orange + 1 drop Arborvitae!
Some Food For Thought
Please make sure to hydrate when you take part in these diys. And, keep in mind that it is important that your daily diet include mostly vegetables, whole grains, protein, fruits and healthy oils. Try to stick to whole, fresh foods as much as you can on these self-care days, and every day!
