Free Homeschool Preschool Curriculum – Week 20, The Ocean

free-preschool-ocean

This week we are headed to the coast where our preschoolers will learn all about the Ocean!

In summary, we will be covering our traditional subject areas – math, music, arts and crafts, language arts, etc. Some of the activities you can look forward to are visiting your local aquarium, or spending the day on the beach if it’s close by! In science our preschoolers will explore buoyancy, research their favorite ocean animal, and even create an ocean in a bottle.

Additionally, the letter of the week is “Z” so, be sure to scroll ahead for more activities to build literacy. I think you will enjoy the selected read aloud books too.  In math we will be working on the number 18, as well as practicing our addition and subtraction skills as well as working with patterns.

There are loads more activities to explore, just continue reading below.

The Curated Creative over on Teachers Pay Teachers has a great ocean animal measurement freebie for this week. This sheet is for non standard measurement. Sadie grabbed her snap cubes to complete this activity.

Homeschool Share has created a fantastic instant download, to help our preschoolers practice patterns. With this worksheet, your preschooler gets to create a pattern of their very own!

Spend some time this week working on addition and subtraction drills with Math Salamanders.
