Total Time 35 minutes mins
- 1 loaf French Bread
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 5 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit to “prep” your cast iron skillet. Place cast iron skillet in oven for 10 minutes.
While oven is preheating, and skillet prepping in the oven, mix wet ingredients - eggs, milk and vanilla.
In a separate bowl mix dry ingredients - brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
Then, slice your French bread.
Once your cast iron skillet is prepped, remove from the oven and drizzle with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, or oil of choice. Lower the oven temperature to 375 degrees.
Begin to layer the bread, dry ingredients, and finally, the wet ingredients.
Place French toast in the oven for 15 minutes. Check progress, and return to the oven for (up to) an additional 10 minutes.
