Danielle’s Picks: 6 Things I Tried + Loved in September

Tried and Loved September 2022

From where I sit, September seems like so long ago. Maybe that’s because the temps have officially dropped here in Tennessee, and living without a source of heat is making me feel all of the winter feels.

On the other hand, September brought about a lot of exciting adventures (like Dollywood!), home projects, and a very special birthday of one little lady that happened to turn five.

A few of my favorite tried and loved purchases are food + drink related, and a couple welcome the fall season into our home perfectly.

These are the six things that I tried and loved in September…

CLEAN

Mrs. Meyers Fall cleaning products bring me so much joy! I love the apple cider hand soap, and lovingly place a bottle at my kitchen and bathroom sink throughout the season. Then there’s the Acorn Spice Multi Purpose Spray. In my experience, it is best used on non porous surfaces but, I’ll find any excuse I can to use this during the fall. I’m like the dad in my My Big Fat Greek Wedding with windex when it comes to this cleaner.

Pssst..I did share an awesome dupe for my favorite Mrs. Meyers hand soap right here

EMBRACE

The earthy, grounding scent of sandalwood is calming. I light this incense when I first wake up in the morning, and then I add special blends to the girls diffusers. But, there’s just something about this scent. It has slowly become the signature scent of our home.

IMBIBE

Okay, to be totally honest, when I first moved to Tennessee, I was a little off kilter. It can take a girl a minute to get used to a few things. And, some days brought more challenges than most. So, when I hit the wine aisle at the store, wine in a can absolutely seemed like a good idea. Especially when this one touted one can = two glasses. I was intrigued, gave it a try, and became an instant convert. This is my favorite Rose Bubbles in a can, hehe.

COOK

Tried and Loved Sept 2022

Summer Savory is one of my all time favorite herbs to cook with, and I never would have figured that out without my doTERRA membership (it was a free oil in one of our wellness boxes).. Savory is like a lighter oregano, and it’s included in Herbs de Provence. Run to your Trader Joe’s to pick this up asap. Seriously, it tastes so good, and makes it look like you put waay more effort into dinner.

EAT

To say I’m in love with this toasted sesame dressing is a complete understatement. I’ve added this to my salads (YUM), used it as a dip (those extra chicken nuggets are MINE), and find literally any excuse I can to take this dressing out of the fridge. Thank goodness I always have an extra bottle in the pantry on standby.

PLAY

Instead of having a birthday party, we decided to take Sadie to Dollywood. We did the same for Nora when we took her to Adventureland for her 7th birthday. Even though we had a bit of a hard time finding our way around, there are so many well thought out features to this theme park. We visited during the harvest festival and enjoyed watching the many artisans hard at work, as well as many of the seasonal pumpkin displays. We’ve even discussed purchasing season passes.
